Purpose
This document outlines the steps required to implement the SAP Emarsys integration with an Annex Cloud client.
The integration between Annex Cloud and SAP Emarsys is a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing customer engagement, communication, and retention. It allows businesses to leverage customer data and behavioral insights from their loyalty programs to personalize and optimize email marketing campaigns.
The primary goal of this integration is to enhance customer engagement by seamlessly transferring Annex Cloud loyalty data to SAP Emarsys. This will enable businesses to deliver personalized communication and targeted campaigns based on customer loyalty data.
Prerequisites for Installation
To establish the integration between Annex Cloud Loyalty and Emarsys, you will need to collect the following information:
- Username
- Secret Key
- List-ID or Name
- Field IDs
Here are the steps to obtain the necessary details:
- Login to Emarsys by clicking this link. The following screen appears.
- Obtain the Username and Secret Key
These are required to access the REST API and establish the connection with Annex Cloud.
- Navigate to Management > Security Settings (see image below).
- Under API Users, click on Create API user to generate a new Username and Secret Key.
- Once the user name is created, click on the User Name. The system displays the Secret Key associated with the user name.
- Once the connection is established, Annex Cloud needs the details of the List ID and Field IDs in which the loyalty data needs to be pushed.
- In the Emarsys UI the List ID is not displayed. You can provide the List Name to Annex Cloud, and Annex Cloud will find the List ID by using a Rest API.
- To get Field IDs, navigate to Management > Field Editor as shown in the following image.
- In the Field Editor, you can get the Field IDs from the first column.
Provide these four pieces of information to Annex Cloud to enable the passing of loyalty data to Emarsys.
