Introduction to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
- SFMC is a cloud-based, on-demand email marketing and digital communication platform.
- SFMC provides marketing automation and analytics software for email, mobile, social and online marketing. The solution also offers consulting and implementation services.
- Its software is offered in a hosted, online subscription model.
- By bringing together the best products in digital marketing, SFMC is the 1:1 platform marketers need to combine what they know about their customers and apply the most relevant communications across various channels and devices their customers are using most.
Steps to Integrate SFMC:
Create Application in SFMC app center:
- Login to the SFMC, using the provided login credentials.

- After login, the user will be redirected to the following page.
- The user can see the applications created for SFMC API integration.
- To create a new application, click on the Administration as shown in the following image.
- Navigate to Account → Installed Packages as shown in the following image.
- Click on the New as shown in the following image.
- Enter the following details in the popup which will open.
- Name: Enter the name for the application.
- Description: Enter the app description.
- After entering the required details and clicking on the Save following window will open.
- Scroll down and click Add Component as shown in the following image.
- Select API Integration in the following pop-up, which will open, and click on the Next as shown in the following image.
- Select the following checkboxes:
- Email: Read, Write, Send.
- Documents and Images: Read, Write
- Saved Content: Read, Write
- List and Subscribers: Read, Write
- Data Extensions: Read, Write
- File Locations: Read, Write
- Tracking Events: Read
- After selecting the above checkboxes, click on Save as shown in the following image.
- This will open the following window. The user can see the Client ID and Client Secret as shown in the following image.
Get Client ID, Client Secret, Authentication Base URI, REST Base URI & SOAP Base URI from app center:
Navigate to Account → Installed Packages.
- Click on the newly created application as shown in the following image.
- It will open the application summary section as shown in the following image.
- The user can get the client ID, Client Secret, Authentication Base URI, REST Base URI & SOAP Base URI as shown in the above image.
Note: The user needs to provide the Client ID, Client Secret, Authentication Base URI, REST Base URI & SOAP Base URI to the Annex Cloud.
