Capabilities

The category section enables administrators to update templates for the reward list. It predefines Credit to Currency Ratio, Out of Coupon Codes Message, and Out of Coupon Codes Threshold points. The template for the Rewards Section Settings can be defined as per the loyalty customer requirements.

Configuration of the Rewards Section Settings is described below:

  • Credit to Currency Ratio: Multiplying this ratio by the user's available points results in total currency values of the available points. Based on the below table, the available points are 1000, and the credit to currency ratio is 0.25, so the currency value of the points can be calculated after multiplying the available points by the credit to currency ratio.
Available Points Credit To Currency Ratio Currency Value of the points
1000 0.25 1000 * 0.25 = 250
  • Credit to Currency Value Up To: It defines the number of decimal points up to which the currency value is calculated. For example, if the user passes this value as 2 then the calculated currency value of the points is displayed up to 2 decimal points.
  • Round figure concept of currency value: Rounding is the process of estimating a particular user. To round a number, look at the next digit in the right place, if the digit is less than 5, round down and if the digit is 5 or more than 5, round up. Rounding decimals refer to the rounding of decimal numbers to a certain degree of accuracy.
Scenario Description

When the right digit after the decimal places is less than 5:

  • Let's take a look at a member's information:
    • Available points = 100
    • Credit to Currency Ratio = 0.5623475.
    • Credit to Currency Value up to = 2 decimals.

Hence the Currency Value of the points is equal to multiplication of the Available Points and the Credit to Currency Ratio.

Currency Value of the points = 100 * 0.5623475

=56.23475

It is found that the right digit after 2 decimal places of the Currency Value (56.23475) is 4, so rounding up is not necessary and the final Currency Value of the points is 56.23.

When the right digit after the decimal places is greater than 5:

Let's take a look at a member's information:

  • Available points = 1000
  • Credit to Currency Ratio = 0.5623475.
  • Credit to Currency Value up to = 2 decimals.

Hence the Currency Value of the points is equal to multiplication of the Available Points and the Credit to Currency Ratio.

Currency Value of the points = 1000 * 0.5623475

=562.3475

It is found that the right digit after 2 decimal places of the Currency Value (562.3475) is 7, so rounding up is necessary and the final Currency Value of the points is 562.35.
  • Reward Denomination: Set the flag ON to activate the reward denomination.
  • Value: Enter the threshold value.
  • Out of Coupon Codes Message: The messages are defined as per the loyalty program requirement.
  • Out of Coupon Codes Threshold: Defines the threshold value for the coupon codes.

Enable Store ID Validation for Redemption: Activate this feature by turning the flag ON to implement Store ID-based validation for redemptions. Once enabled, the Points API payload will include the Store ID parameter. Note: When this flag is activated, providing the Store ID becomes a mandatory requirement for action 107.
