Give Points Reason

Summary

  • Often, loyalty members’ points need to be adjusted due to a number of reasons, including customer satisfaction or an issue with data. Annex Cloud provides a number of ways to allow manual adjustments of points.
  • Give Points Reason functionality allows a user to define categories of manual points adjustment reasons which can be used to tag any manual points adjustment. This enables the organization to track and report on manual points adjustment as needed.

Capabilities

Give Points Reason options provide a number of options for the user to create, view, and manage existing points for reasons.

  1. Filtering Reasons: Admin can select either List By Points or List By Receipt.
    1. List By Points: Filters the reason received from the points report.
    2. List By Receipt: Filters the reason received from moderation report. These reports are filtered by the auditor.
  2. Creating New Reasons: Clicking on the Add New Reason by Category allows users to create new points adjustment reasons. Configuration details are listed in the next section.
  3. Search: Enables the user to search existing lists of reasons in the system.
  4. Actions: Allows the user to edit or delete an existing points adjustment reason.

Configuring Points Adjustment Reasons

Create New Give Points Reason

Users can create a new Give Points Reason by clicking on the “Add New Reason by Category” button. A popup will appear to configure the necessary details.

Fields and Description

Field Explanation
Reason Category

Select the reason category from two available options.

Moderation Report: Create reasons which will be available for points moderation through the moderation report.

Points Report: Reasons created using this option will be shown in the points report.

Reason Write the reason which will be displayed to the user when assigning any manual points and adjustments.

Editing or Deleting an Existing Reason

An existing Give Points Reason can be edited by clicking on the edit icon in the Actions column.

Similarly, an existing point's reason can be deleted by clicking on the delete icons from the actions column. A popup will appear to confirm the delete action, click yes to complete the delete.

If the reason is deleted from the moderation report drop-down list, this reason won’t be available for any new activity. If the same reason is used by another user, then it will be available for that user.
