Objective

The purpose of this document is to describe the supporting Annex Cloud data fields corresponding to Mailchimp ESP fields. The fields can be customized based on the requirements. 

Log in to Mailchimp

To log in to Mailchimp, click on the following link. https://login.mailchimp.com/

  • This will open the following window.

Create New Audience List

To create a new audience in your Mailchimp account, follow these steps. 

Step 1: Click the Audience icon.

Step 2: Click Audience dashboard.

Step 3: Click Current audience drop-down and choose View audiences.

Click Manage Audience drop-down and choose View audiences

 Step 4: Click Create Audience.

Step 5: In the confirmation box, click Create Audience.

Step 6: Enter the required details into the designated fields. 

Step 7: Review the Contact information for this audience and make any required changes. 

Step 8: In the Form Settings section and select the preferred opt-in method for the audience. 

Select the check box labeled Enable double opt-in if you wish to send an opt-in confirmation email when a subscriber joins your marketing list. If not leave it unchecked to opt for single opt-in, allowing immediate addition of subscribers to your audience.

Step 9: Provide the email address where you prefer to receive notifications regarding your audience and proceed to select notification preferences. 

Step 10: Click Save to complete your settings.

Get Audience List ID

To find your audience ID, follow these steps. 

Step 1: Click the Audience icon.

Step 2: Click All contacts. 

Step 3: If you have more than one audience in the list, click the Current audience drop-down and choose the required audience details. 

Step 4: Click Settings drop-down and choose audience name as required.

Step 5: In the Audience ID section, you will get the audience ID.

Create Fields

To add a field in the audience settings, follow these steps. 

Step 1: Click the Audience icon.

Step 2: Click Audience dashboard. 

Step 3: If you have more than one audience in the list, click the Current audience drop-down and choose the required audience details.

Step 4: Click the Manage Audience drop-down and select Settings. 

Step 5: Click on the Settings and select Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags

Step 6: Click Add A Field to see the available field types and select the type of field you needs to add. 

Step 7: Fill these fields with required names and click Save Changes.

Steps to get Access Token 

Navigate to Account Account Extras → API Keys as shown in the following window. 

  • You can create a new Key by clicking on Create A Key as shown above.
  • Use the provided API Key and share it with Annex Cloud.
