Summary
The Actions tab allows for the configuration of individual loyalty actions. Loyalty members can create and update actions here, and they can also complete them to receive points. Click here for more about Actions.
Action Group functionality helps two or more actions be combined together to form a single group.
Within the “Action” there are two tabs:

- Action Groups - Action Group functionality provides the ability to bind multiple actions under one Group and the admin can set a Max Points earned limit on that Action Group.
Action Group- Action group gives an admin the ability to bind multiple actions under one Group and the admin can set a Max Points earned limit on that Action Group.
- Users will be able to utilize the full points earning capacity again once the period set by the admin has ended, which can be Rolling/Calendar.

When you click the Action Group tab, the following dashboard appears.
The dashboard includes the following columns.
- Action Group Name: Displays the internal system name of the Action Group.
- Action Group ID: Displays the Action Group ID which is assigned automatically to the group by the site after the creation of the Action Group.
- Grouped Action IDs: Displays the actions which are included in the Action Group, separated by commas.
- Maximum Point Limit: Displays the Maximum Points a member can earn in the set time at a group level against the linked actions associated with the respective Group .
- Limit Type: Displays the type of time limit during which a member can earn up to the maximum points. Once the member reaches to the defined time limit, the maximum points earning window can be reset. The Limit Type can be Calendar or Rolling.
- Limit Details: Displays the number of days for which the Max Points limit has been set. These can be a number of days for Rolling or Week/Month for Calendar.
- Status: Displays whether the Action Group is active or inactive

Actions: Displays two icons.
- Edit: Make changes to the Action Group in this row.
- Audit: View a list of changes to the Action Group in this row.
Create New Action Group
The process of creating a New Action Group has been given below.
Click Add New Action Group and fill in the required details for the creation of a new Action Group.
You must enter the fields specified in the General Information tab as shown in the image below
- Action Group Name: Enter a name for the Action Group based on your requirements.
- Active Badge URL: Specify an image URL associated with an Action Group when it is active.
- Inactive Badge URL: Specify an image URL associated with an Action Group when it is inactive.
Click Next.
In the Add Action tab, select the actions to combine into the Action Group based on your requirements.
Select an action from the drop-down and click Add to include the Action in the data grid.
An action cannot be a part of multiple Action Groups. This rule applies for multi-Template sites as well. If an Action Group is being created for a template, then the actions used in that Action Group cannot be used for that template. However, if the template is different from the action, it can be used once again in another Action Group.
Click Next.
On the Action Group Limit tab, configure a limit for the number of points a member can earn and rules for how the points limit is managed.
Once the defined duration has lapsed, the maximum point earning window resets. The duration begins at the time of the first action.
Click Create Action Group. The system returns to the Action Group dashboard, and you can see the new group in the list.
For MPB enabled sites, all the buckets are also visible under the Group Limit and an admin can define Max points limit and details against any buckets as well.
Scenario:
If a member has performed two actions (114,117) which have been grouped under Action Group Demo and whose maximum limit has been set to 200 as shown in the image below. The member earns points against the actions performed and that illustration has been shown using Action Rules towards the end.
Here the member has earned 150 points for the Action ID114 and for the Action Id 117 he was supposed to get 150 points but since the max limit for the Action Group has been capped at 200 the member will be earning 50 points for the Action ID- 117 and won’t be able to earn more points until the limit period (15 Days for this example) resets based on the criteria set by the admin.
In case, the member performs the actions again after already earning the maximum points set by the admin then the member will be prompted that they can earn the points against these actions only after the period limit gets over and the maximum points limit resets to normal which is 15 days for the above-mentioned example.
